Still trying to remember what happened. Rufies and craigslist don't mix well.

WELCOME
Give more details! What year? 1.6 or 1.8L? How many miles?

Gonna post later with more details, but a ‘95 with 100k miles and was essentially placed in the stewardship of a local Miata specialist for the last year and got a lot of attention.

Looks like a C-packaged car. Hopefully that means potential LSD.

Welcome to the team. That red paint looks great for being old enough to buy a beer!

Unfortunately it has seen a respray, ain’t no way the original red on an NA looks that good unless it was stored in a windowless basement for the last 20 years.
Good news is that it was well done and there's minimal overspray.

Well it looks like it was done very well. I looked at a few red ones before ending up with a black 94, and none of them looked that nice. Enjoy it!

Been trying to nail that down today, current owner wasn’t sure, it was just a weekend car for him and he wasn’t a serious Miata guy. According to the build sheet matrix I tracked down, it’s a leather package car due to the tan top and interior which should indicate a Type I Torsen in a ‘95. I’ll crawl under and confirm with a peek at the diff ears at some point, or just call Mazda with the VIN.

Thanks dude!

It’s hard to mechanically confirm a Torsen unless you do a launch with one wheel on pavement and the other on grass/gravel or take the diff apart for inspection. A usual sign of LSD (at least on NBs) is factory cruise control. Make sure to go over the ‘95 Miata FAQ !
